Harry Burgess: "All our business is local business. People from in town, local farmers. Probably about 10% of it is off the highway. It's not a lot, but we just sort of drop everything and keep the travelers moving.
It was challenging at the start because it was just Sharon and myself. She was in the office and I was sort of in the workshop and even like to the point of pricing up parts she was just like, how do I do this? And I was like, I don't know I've just always been the guy out the back. So, yeah. I've learned, learned a lot.
It was a no brainer, because you could just get a Capricorn account and then have just access to all these suppliers and yeah, it was just, you just hit the ground running without having to open up, you know, heaps of different accounts. I've had a few apprentices along the way come and go and last year we put on a mechanic, so yeah, sort of slowly building it up. At the start, it was it was really hectic. A lot of early mornings, a lot of late nights especially here on my own or just with an apprentice.
Now that we've got staff and I'm able to sort of step back a little bit, and with a nine day fortnight it's just good for everyone, you know, to have every second Friday off."
