Learn from the world’s top repair experts without leaving home

Smash repairers across Australia and NZ will be able to join the world’s top experts in the field for a special online education series normally only available at SEMA.

There aren’t many good news stories to come out of Covid-19 but, if there’s one bright side, it’s that it has created an opportunity for smash repairers to access world-class training from home.

For several years Capricorn has been working closely with repairer associations around the world — and especially with the team at the US-based Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS).

Our collaborations saw a number of SCRS members attend our Futures Collide Collision Repairers Conference in Melbourne last year. Normally, in pre-Covid times, SCRS holds training at information sessions at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, and some Capricorn Members have been lucky enough to have attended the world’s largest aftermarket auto show and those seminars.

Recently SCRS Executive Director Aaron Schulenburg shared with Capricorn an outline of the training and information sessions SCRS would have held at SEMA 2020.

Aaron said SCRS still plans to hold those sessions. They have been working hard to pivot their education program so they can provide it in a way that maintains the event atmosphere that industry stakeholders have come to expect from the programs on offer from SCRS.

The SCRS team spent a whole week filming high-quality videos with some of the best subject matter experts in the US, exploring a variety of topics to help collision repairers succeed.

Being an online offering, this initiative obviously presents a great opportunity for our Australian and New Zealand Members to take part — and they will receive the same great education they would expect from attending in-person — from the comfort of their business or home.

The SCRS team would love to have Capricorn’s Members join them for this online event. Courses can be selected individually or bundled in a Full Series Pass.

  • The Full Series Pass gives you access to ALL the sessions (no more having to pick between sessions/speakers!)
  • Access to all sessions starts rolling out the week of 2 November 2020, and all sessions will remain available until August 2021. This gives Members months of time to watch, re-watch and continually reference the material
  • This online education series gives you and your whole team access to the most well-respected experts in our field, all from the comfort of your shop!

Registration is open at https://rde.scrs.com and Members can explore all the courses at https://rde.scrs.com/courses.
