Philip Lithgow - Regional Manager

Philip brings with him a depth of experience including a senior management role with a large national membership based organisation to owning and managing his own business.

For four years Philip held the position of General Manager of Australia Post-Tel Institute (API) Victoria. API is a leisure and lifestyle membership organisation which provides a range of exclusive savings and benefits across a wide range of services. Philip was instrumental in implementing a strategy to turn that business around and make it a viable and profitable operation.

Philip has also previously been involved in his own consultancy and established a successful business brokerage company.

Philip is looking forward to the challenges that taking on the role of Victorian/Tasmania/South Australian Regional Manager will bring.

Wayne Rice - Regional Manager

With over 25 years experience in the automotive industry, Wayne has brought a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Capricorn.He has completed various courses including Leadership Training for Managers (Dale Carnegie), Marketing Management (TTI) and Inventory Management I & II (TTI).

Andrew Baird - Business Development Manager

Andrew has over 20 years experience in corporate and business to business sales environments. His most recent career history includes sales management positions with BP Oil New Zealand Ltd, Castrol NZ Ltd and Fleetlease NZ Ltd.

Andrew has a unique set of skills and abilities in relationship building, customer focus and business development that will be well utilised to transform and increase growth of Capricorn in the New Zealand market.

Rob Mildenhall - Business Development Manager

Rob commenced his working career in the aircraft industry where he qualified as an Aircraft Technician, specialising in jet engine and turbo shaft engines in 1979.

Rob left the aircraft industry to join Borg Warner's factory in Uitenhage in the Eastern Cape where he took on the role as a Product Development Technician. His employment with Borg Warner providing Rob with the opportunity to move into leadership roles and he soon took the opportunity to be promoted into field liaison roles.

Rob's career also saw him assume responsibility for the Quality Control Depart as well as the Apprentice Training Centre. It was in the Training Centre that Rob developed his enthusiasm for training and where he produced a workshop repair manual for Borg Warner customers.

The change in trading name from Borg Warner to Gearmax, saw Rob also develop his career when, in 1991, he took on the role of General Manager for Gearmax's aftermarket parts and service operation.

Rob joined Capricorn in November 2001 as our Business Development Manager in South Africa. Rob is proactive in the South African automotive industry and has served on the board of Directors of the RMI for the past three years. Rob has also been National Chairman of the MIWA (Motor Industry Workshops Association) for five years and has been Chairman of the RMI's Business Chamber for the last two. Rob also serves on the Motor Industry Development Committee as RMI's representative.
